Koroneiki is originally from Greece: around 60% of the Greek olive oil is made from this variety. Olive oil made from Koroneiki is generally robust (slightly bitter). This olive oil has green aromas of freshly cut grass, thyme, olive leaves, and green herbs, and has a medium to high pungency. It pairs well with warm dishes that contain chicken, meat, seafood, flavorsome salads and cheeses.
